Baby Quilt (part 2)

Picking the fabric is an important part of any quilt process. The pattern is nice, but if you don’t get the right fabrics, the quilt could look messy.

My husband was an animation major in college, so he’s really good with color theory. On quilts that I am nervous about I will check my color choices with him. With his crazy work schedule right now he said to just pick the fabric, and it will look great. Bah! It’s his baby too! He’s going to have to learn to love whatever the quilt looks like, ha!

Anyway, we have already agreed to do a Winnie the Pooh nursery, so I thought I’d get some. Last baby quilt I did, I found a bunch of cute Winnie the Pooh stuff, but I didn’t want to jinx our chances of getting pregnant. I should have bought it when I saw it!

So I finally found a pooh bear-ish fabrics. I only got a little of it, and will mostly be using scraps of fabric I already have. Here is some of what I got.  More to come as I start quilting!
